Episode 189: Threadbare Culture: When the Corporate Soul Starts to Fray

Well, well… it seems our Biz-Souls dueling duo, Rona and Jeffrey, are back at it again—taking a different perspective on business, life, and the bizarre intersections between the two.

Dysmorphic: (adjective):

1. Characterized by malformation or abnormality in body structure.

2. A mental health condition where people obsess over perceived—often imaginary—flaws in appearance.

3. The exact word Jeffrey used to describe corporate culture gone sideways.

Rona wants everyone to know—loudly—that this topic was entirely Jeffrey’s idea and that this episode might be “lightweight” in the business-analysis department.

Jeffrey, however, defends it like it’s a Harvard Business Review case study. In his mind, this is how the soul of a business becomes corrupted—through the tiny, nearly invisible artifacts of everyday culture. Think micro-moments of dysfunction, gossip, or ego that slip in like drops of dirt into a clean glass of water. Suddenly, that “refreshing culture” looks a little murky.
