Twilio allows software engineers to programmatically make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, and perform other communication functions using its web service APIs. The company is getting a boost from the pandemic as its customers both old and new scramble to update their operations for a new digital age. Shares of Twilio are up over 160% so far in 2020.
