Vigilance Part 1: Research, Doctors, Nurses and Nurse Managers

Hi, on the Topic of Vigilance During the Hospital Stay of a Loved One, in this episode that provides an outline for the next episodes, the main focus is on vigilance in terms of research, doctors, nurses and nurse managers.

Research can be done in many ways (research articles, well-trusted websites, discussion forums) and for many of steps of diagnosis, treatment plans, procedures and hospitalization.

There are several kinds of doctors that will come across a patient and their family members (ER, ICU, Hospital Room, to name a few). Doctors also have shifts.  These aspects need to be considered when discussing about the well being of a patient.

Nurses are the main go-to person in case of a hospitalization.  They can communicate with doctors. Unless it is urgent, doctors will get back to the nurses with responses to one's requests.

Nurse managers are not seen much, unless needed. Thus, when the need comes, one has to get in contact with them.
