"How to AVOID MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION (MAD)!" Nuclear Desalination | Destroyer of Worlds #2

This is a continuation of the analysis of "Mutually Assured Destruction" (MAD), which was a Cold War-Era military doctrine that required total retaliation if by a nuclear-armed power that would preempt a conventional conflict. Meaning it would be the first thing that takes place in a war between, say... Russia and NATO, in the case of the Ukrainian conflict.   

BEFORE WE CONTINUE WITH THE HISTORY OF NUCLEAR DEVELOPMENT, I FIGURED I'D OFFER A REMEDY FOR AN IMPENDING NUCLEAR WAR (and climate change, incidentally). 

This is my plan in a nutshell:  "Unilaterally announce to the world that we will be using our nuclear armaments and the wealth of highly enriched uranium (HEU) in the thousands of nuclear warheads that we have on the ready;  Then use this diluted or enriched uranium to power an entire fleet of small- to micro-sized nuclear reactors—develop said “micro” reactors by devoting resources to improving our nuclear power-stations (i.e. instead of our advanced military which would be scorched in a nuclear exchange)—but build all our coastal nuclear plants with desalination facilities in tandem with next-generation power stations…"
