She received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southern University and A&M College and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from Meharry Medical College. After Dental school, she returned to Baton Rouge, LA and is an Associate Dentist at a Federally Qualified health Center (FQHC).
