We have a super special episode today! This was the first interview we recorded before Beyond The Now was a podcast!

Kayla was born in South Africa the year the divided nation was freed from Apartheid. She is truly a visionary woman. Driven by her passion for justice, Kayla is dedicated to seeing her home, the Global South, restored.

In this interview Kayla and Amanda discuss the magnum opus of Kayla’s academic career thus far- her Masters Thesis, titled “The Narratives that Shape Social Impact: Cross-Cultural Co-powerment in International Community Development”. It’s a grand title that sets the stage for the profound insights from Kayla’s life and the fieldwork she conducted in Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and Tanzania in 2019.
