She also creates content for museums such as the Oakland Museum of California and the California Academy of Sciences. Barbara once served as Vice President of the Castro District’s Rainbow Honor Walk, celebrating LGBTQ pioneer activists. An activist herself, she’s now a strategic advisor for the Friends of Harvey Milk Plaza, working to make it a welcoming community space in the Castro.
