In the pursuit of a satisfying and rewarding career, it is important to not only define theoretical precepts of career development in developing a theoretical framework but it is imperative to observe and act on what successful people have done to achieve their results. Roy Osing is a former President, Executive Vice-President and Chief Marketing Officer of TELUS Corp. Over his 33-year career, he was able to successfully build and lead many businesses ranging from start-ups to intensively competitive internet and data enterprises to mature regulated monopolies. We were fortunate to interview Roy Osing who not only shared learning lessons with students and young professionals from his career but also advice on how to stand out from the rest of the crowd, developing the right networks as well as transforming an entrepreneurial idea into a reality. We hope that this podcast enable individuals who are at the early stages of their career to take away meaningful learnings that will allow them to be closer in reaching their career objectives.
