Episode 3 - Halloween Special: A History in Horror Makeup
In this episode, we’ll be breaking down the history of make-up and prosthetics in movie history, specifically its usage in horror films. Rather than focusing on one “below the line” artist, we’ll be looking at various makeup artists such as Jack Pierce, Dick Smith, Rick Baker, and Montse Ribé. Although you may not know their names, they’ve been behind the horror genre’s most iconic looks from Frankenstein to Pan’s Labyrinth.
We’ll also be bringing Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes its due critical acclaim after nearly 20 years and talking the new Aaron Sorkin flick.
