S5, Ep 048 on 5-Star Luxury at MBano Manor (Zimbabwe) with Dr. Mati, first Black female Hotelier
In the Season 5 finale, join host Yndia as she sits with Dr Matifadza Martha Nyazema (affectionately referred to as “Doc Mati”) of Mbano Manor Hotel Victoria Falls by Mantis, a 5-star boutique luxury hotel that she founded, built and manages, since 2020. In this episode, Doc Mati reflects on her two-decades plus experience in the hospitality industry and how she became the first Black woman to own a 5-star luxury hotel in Zimbabwe, which also became the first internationally branded hotel in Victoria Falls in over a decade under the Mantis Collection in 2023. Doc Mati’s journey to realize the dream of bringing luxury and conservation to her beloved Zimbabwe as a Black woman entrepreneur and hotelier is both beautiful and inspiring. Check it out! (Prod.
