(Un)Known Project is a Louisville, Kentucky artist-run nonprofit collaborative of IDEAS x Lab, whose mission is to use art to unearth the names, stories, histories and experiences of U.S. enslaved African descendants in order to support racial healing and reconciliation. The episode considers the use art installations and immersive experiences to tell a fuller and more accurate account of U.S. history of enslavement and its legacy today in the face of profound efforts to rewrite/ “white-wash” history.
