
Dr. Roberto Rossi discusses his wealth of knowledge on the topic of Guided Bone Regeneration. With a retrospective perspective of over 30 years in the field of periodontology, this wide-ranging conversation takes us from the genesis of the procedure to the present with hints of the future.
Dr. Rossi graduated in Dentistry magna cum laude at the University of Genova. Started his career as a periodontist at Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry in 1989, he specialized in Periodontology in 1991 and received the Master of Science in Dentistry in Periodontology in 1992.
He has been a visiting professor at Genova, Padova, Pisa, Chieti, and Napoli universities. From 2000 to date has been a professor at the Master of II degree in Periodontology at the University of Roma Sapienza. He is a certified member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SidP), an international member of the American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), an active member of the Italian Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (IAED), an active member of the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry (ESCD), and an affiliate of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED). He is a founding member and vice president of the Bone Biomaterials and Beyond Academy (2017-2021). Author and co-author of many articles on peer-reviewed magazines, co-author of the book "Bone Biomaterials and Beyond" where he was responsible for the chapter on periodontal regeneration.
Dr. Rossi has a private practice in Genova and Casale Monferrato where he practices periodontics and implantology along with esthetic dentistry.
