What is a Covenant?

Ex 19:4-6

The word Covenant is ‘Beryth’ in Hebrew, and means “a contract made between two pieces of flesh," from ‘Barar,’ which means “to make something clear, or plain.”

So Yahweh is asking us to enter into Covenant with Him, so He can make all things “clear to us,” and in order to do this, we must “let His Covenant separate us from ourselves.”

Genesis 9:8-11

The same Covenant that Yahweh cut with Noah, is the same Covenant that He cut with Israel. He said “….and your seed after you.”

Psalm 25:9-10

Truth and Mercy belong to them that keep His Covenant.

Isaiah 24:1-15

It is an “Eternal Covenant.” It doesn’t end.

Isaiah 56:3-8

Stranger – nekar, foreigners, Gentiles, and Heathen

If a Gentile comes into Yahweh’s House, He must enter into Covenant with Him, or He isnt allowed in the Kingdom.

Luke 1:68-74

Romans 11:25-27

What was the purpose of the Covenant? To take us away from sin. What does the word “Savior mean?” Deliverer from sin. He is the Mediator of the Covenant.

Covenant – (Greek), diatheke: A contract of Testament.

The Covenant hasnt changed.

Gal 3:17

What does it mean “confirmed?” The Greek word is “prokuroo,” and means “ratified.”

What does “ratify” mean? “Confirmed by authoritative consent.” So ALL of the heavenlies “agreed” to the Covenant, long before man was ever created. It cannot be disanulled, or removed. It is eternal.

Heb 12:23-26

“New” is the Greek word “neos,” which means “to regenerate, or renew.” It comes from the word “neh-o'-ter-os,” which means “to refresh, renew.”

Rev 11:16-19

The word “testament” in verse 19, is the Greek word “diatheke,” which means “Covenant.” As you can see, the Ark of the Covenant which was a physical symbol of His Contract, is still in the Heavenlies, it hasnt changed, it hasnt moved, we are still supposed to walk in His Covenant, and keep it.

It was the Catholic Church that invented the “New (separate/different) Covenant,” because they refused to walk in Yahweh’s Covenant. I just showed you, that Yahweh’s Covenant is eternal, and it hasnt changed from the Hebrew to the Greek, its the same.
