SUMMARYThis episode focused on the new National World War I Memorial located in downtown Washington, D.C. on Pennsylvania Avenue.  An existing park – Pershing Park – with a statue of General John J. Pershing of World War I fame, was taken and repurposed as the new memorial.  The statue of Pershing was kept in the memorial.
