The Amity Affliction: The End of Heartache  | Behind The Cover (Podcast #2)

Editor’s Note: This podcast may be triggering for people who battle depression and/or addiction.

In our second episode, Editor in Chief of Rolling Stone AU/NZ, Poppy Reid, reads from Rod Yates’ 2016 cover feature on Amity Affliction 'The End of Heartache', a revealing deep dive into frontman Joel Birch’s journey with addiction and recovery. She then sits down with the band’s singer, co-songwriter and bassist Ahren Stringer to discuss what it was like for the band seven years ago when Birch had hit rock bottom. They also delve into how the Amity Affliction has changed since then, and why he’s not a fan of the album the band were promoting at the time.
