
Top Ten Records opened in 1956 as a community record shop and concert ticket outlet, selling the most tickets to the Elvis Presley show at the Cotton Bowl that year. The shop became famous seven years later as the place where Dallas Police officer J.D. Tippit was last seen making a phone call, shortly before he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald in the Oak Cliff neighborhood.
