Becoming Wild
Episode Five: Reframing Worth - Part 2
This is the fifth episode in season one of Becoming Wild. It is  the second of three episodes focused on "Reframing Worth".  Emma talks about Beliefs and what they are and answers a listener question about how to identify our beliefs. Then she dives into a coaching session with Lu where they identify and reframe two limiting beliefs around fun and business/career.  Questions for you to continue "Reframing Worth" at home:  Set a timer for 3 minutes and write out all your beliefs about one of these three areas of life: Freedom, Business/Career, Purpose. Then go through each sentence and grade it from 1 to 10 according to the emotional weight it holds for you.  When you have done that, cross out anything below an 8.  The beliefs left are the ones to examine.   See the show notes from episode four for how to do that.  Emma first learned about Beliefs and how to change them from her own teacher/mentor/coach, Andrea Leda Wilborn [https://www.bravercoach.com/].  She referenced Byron Katie in her coaching session and then took her client through an example of The Work [https://thework.com/]. The coaching program that Emma takes Lu through on the show is the six month one-to-one coaching program, Becoming Wild [https://www.emmawhittard.com/about-4].  If you'd like to send in a question for the show then please write to info@emmawhittard.com, subject line "Wild Questions".  If the question is answered on the show, only your first initial will be used.  If you'd like some direct coaching from Emma then you could consider joining the Wild Woman Community.  Learn all about the community here:  What is Wild Woman? Becoming Wild
Episode Three: Unlearning the Interview
This is the third episode in season one of Becoming Wild. It's our final look at Unlearning and will focus on an interview with Betsy Cross. Betsy is the founder and designer of Portland jewelry brand Betsy & Iya. She began the company in 2008 as a response to the question: how can I live a life rooted in creativity and make a living doing it? Art and creativity have always been at the center of her interests. She has an MFA in physical and ensemble-based theatre, is an avid dancer, and new gardener. Her company, Betsy & Iya had early success selling to shops around the world, when it was only her making, designing, selling, and building the business. It has grown organically since then, always working to achieve the goal of amplifying and celebrating beauty, strength, and connection of all people. Betsy lives in Portland with her husband who is also her business partner, her 6 year old daughter, and their 2 dogs. She's always followed her heart, even if she didn't know it, often blooming where she was planted.  She was a one-to-one coaching client of Emma's for 18 months and is a member of her "Wild Woman" community.   On the episode we talk about Betsy's journey into creative business owner, leader and Wild Woman, and what she has "Unlearned" along the way.  Emma also answers a question from a listener on self-talk about relationships. From its Portland production studio and retail shop, Betsy & Iya designs and makes both fashion and fine jewelry and offers bespoke story-based jewelry designs to individual customers, in addition to carrying gifts, clothing, and accessories made by other independent artists from around the world, products which are all – as the neon sign in their shop window reads – Beautiful things made by people who care. www.betsyandiya.com [https://betsyandiya.com/] Here is a prompt for you to continue "Unlearning" at home: What have I had to "Unlearn" in my life so far? What do I still need to "Unlearn" before I leave this planet? I mentioned two books on the show: "Loving What Is" by Byron Katie "Radical Acceptance" by Tara Brach If you'd like to send in a question for the show then please write to info@emmawhittard.com subject line "Wild Questions". If. the question is answered on the show, only your first initial will be used.  If you'd like some direct coaching from Emma then consider joining the Wild Woman Community.  Learn all about the community here: What is Wild Woman?
