An Epic π day is coming up - 3/14/15 9:26:54 makes the first 10 digits of π.
In this episode, we look at the history and cool facts about pi.
Extra stuff:
Here's a picture of how to lay out that string that Cody Buntain describes. https://www.flickr.com/photos/90859298@N00/16580244208/
Why did I say the epic time on Pi Day is 3/14/15 9:26:54 when the 10th digit of pi is 3, not 4? Because the first 11 digits are 3.1415926535 and if you round the 10th digit, you get 4, not 3!
Jen’s Key Lime Pi Recipe
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup key lime juice
3 egg yolks
1 graham cracker crust
Preheat the oven to 225.
Add everything but the crust to a blender, and blend until it’s smooth and well-mixed. Pour it into the crust and bake for 15 minutes until it’s set. Let it cool to room temperature and then refrigerate it until chilled. Serve topped with lots of fresh whipped cream.

In this episode, we talk about the Morris Animal Foundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. It's the largest observational veterinary study ever conducted. 3,000 dogs (including my two goldens!) will be followed their entire lives in order to learn about the genetic and environmental factors that contribute to canine cancer and other diseases.
We speak with Dr. David Haworth, veterinarian and CEO of the Morris Animal Foundation, about this remarkable study.
