In this episode we uplift the stories from the LGBTQIA+ community in all unique forms they take.  You will hear the themes of self-discovery, pain, isolation, joy and the relentless pursuit of unapologetic self-love. I have lived in Ghana for the past 2 years. Potterhead (Gryffindor!),  brown unicorn, proud feminist, autism advocate and social justice warrior. You can find Akanksha at:  akankshachhettri4@gmail.com Instagram @orangedot7 Beautiful Human Number 2: Barb Gross (she/her/hers) Barbara Gross (she/her/hers) is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator. She specializes in staff and caregiver training and development of sexual behavior intervention plans for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), including autism spectrum disorder. She also works to coordinate with educators and other helping professionals to promote equity in access to comprehensive sexuality education for people with disabilities. Other areas of practice and research interests include pornography literacy, abuse prevention for children and adults with disabilities, and dissemination of behavior analysis and the potential it offers to promote healthy sexuality for people of all abilities. Currently working as Director of Programs at Inspire Justice, Brea understands that we need a multi-pronged approach to the complex problems facing society. Working across fields and industries from activism to the entertainment industry to electoral work and politics, she believes in the need for progressive policy along with a culture that reflects and affirms everyone’s right to thrive.
