This May installment of Beasts gets off to a slick start via a track from Hood Sound affiliate HOKT (with production from DJ Honda) and his 2012 album "Galaxy" You'll hear a rework of a Billie Holliday song in the jazz set that follows, which includes a tune from Emi Tawata. Next up is a slammin' hip-hop detour, which introduces you listeners to MeccaGodZilla, who also goes by Ryu Black. He grew up like many on the Street Fighter video game series, and the track that you'll hear is a banger in tribute to the legacy of the series (particularly the 2nd game). He's the head of Manafest Vision Media, and you'll hear more about him and his team in this episode. DJ Deckstream and Shiro Matsuba (alongside some other artists) provide some higher aural ground immediately after, via sweeping, almost ghostly choruses and tight digitized arrangements.
