EP.10 Demystifying Mental Health amongst Millennials

Some articles classify Millennials as the burnout generation. A study conducted by Pew Research Center stated that in 2020, millennials' mental health was coated in depression and deaths of despair as both illnesses rose among the generation and was linked to loneliness and money stress.

In this episode Mrs. Tashi-Ann Burgess Smith explained what is mental health and the various types of mental illnesses, the stereotypes associated with mental health and generational responses to mental health and we also discussed ways in which Millennials can cope with, manage and monitor their mental wellbeing.

If you or anyone you know is experiencing a form of mental illness, you may contact the Ministry of Health and Suicide Prevention Helpline at 888 NEW LIFE (639-5433). You are not alone, reach out to someone for help today.
