Listen, Consider, Reply [Developing the Developer Mini-Series]

We look at those helping develop our match officials off the pitch in our Developing the Developers (Novice) mini-series.

Assessors, coaches, performance reviewers, mentors... the names are many, but so are the skills that we need to make sure that we're adding as much value to the match officials as possible. In this episode, Dusty and John consider that throughout our lives we will have used listen, consider and reply as part of our interactions and communication with those around us and based on the fact that we have received a response, can easily assume that these function effectively.

This could be the opportunity to consider what these currently look like and as with the “Who am I” episode, raise an awareness bringing things from our unconscious to our conscious thinking. Listening is often associated with our ears, but have you ever considered the role of our eyes in this process?
