
In this episode, I talk about the recent decision by the American Psychiatric Association to include "Prolonged Grief Disorder" as a classification in the latest version of the Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). Up front disclaimer: I dislike the DSM (and the APA for that matter), but it is the manual healthcare providers must use in order to diagnose and treat mental conditions (and be reimbursed by insurance).
