This is what you read when you open the book. "You are holding not only a tribute to a beloved dog but also a story of love, loss, grief, and healing. Our beloved dog, Boris, tragically perished while saving our family from a devastating house fire. We were transformed by this experience and honored him by naming our son after him. After a time of reflection and growth, I wanted to use my talents to pay tribute to him, honor all dogs, and create something worthy of a dog's love.” This is written by Jacqueline Lemieux-Bokor, the photographer & artist behind the beautiful tribute book, Remember Me As Sunshine. WARNING: This interview is raw, filled with emotion, some tears and a lot of love. This book was given to me by a mutual friend of ours, when my beloved Sophie passed away. I sobbed over it and have done so many times since. Meeting and then interviewing Jacqueline, who is not only an very talented artist but an incredible human, and sharing her story and this book is a tribute to all pet parents who’ve loved deeply and lost and it is an inspired way to find solace and celebrate these beautiful beings we loved so much.
