This week on Bang Le' Dex: Bernard Badie is one of a handful of producers to emerge from Chicago in the late 1980s during the early beginnings of House Music and whose track ‘Time Reveals’ is an undisputed Chicago House classic.
Bernard’s journey started at Chicago’s 89.3 FM WKKC back in 1986 as a hot mixer and broadcaster before stepping into music production in 1990 initially as ‘Jackin' Bernard Badie’. Following advice from Ray Barney of Dance Mania, Bernard set up his own label, DJB Records, where he showcased his own productions. In 1994 Bernard released under ‘Bernard Badie’ for the first time with the classic ‘Time Reveals’ and a busy period followed throughout the rest of the 90's including the well supported album ‘Sound Traxx’, released on the Distance label.
Since the millennium, Bernard has remixed for the likes of Ron Trent, Larry Heard and various independent label owners such as Roger Sanchez and has created several timeless classics like ‘Tonight’, ‘Truth Hurts’, ‘A Time To Dance’ and ‘Imagine’. Throughout Bernard's career, he has had dealings with a long list of the ‘who's who’ within House Music.
Whilst quality over quantity is his key ethos, it’s also the variety of Bernard’s music which makes him stand out from the crowd. From smooth soulful vibes to filtered French House to jackin' funky grooves through to serious driving late night beats with the odd downtempo track thrown in for good measure. This has seen him work with some household names in the form of vocalists Robert Owens, Dajae and Darryl Pandy whilst licensed to labels such as Cajual, Defected, Distance, Tony Records and countless others.
We are entirely excited to have him lace us with some wonderful House as our guest this week

Today on Bang Le' Dex: We are proud to welcome back Luisa Houseworks aka DJ Luisa — is a boundary-pushing DJ, producer, and community organizer based in El Paso, Texas. With over a decade behind the decks, she’s known for her dynamic sets that move fluidly between Soul, Funk, Techno, House, Disco, and beyond. Her musical storytelling is rooted in a deep sense of feeling, with each performance serving as a celebration of rhythm, culture, and connection.
Raised on the U.S.–Mexico border, Luisa brings a distinctive perspective to her work, blending regional influences with global sounds. Her journey has taken her from underground parties to stages shared with artists like DJ Minx, Hito, and John Acquaviva.
She’s also collaborated with major brands like Adidas, Focusrite, and Charivari Detroit all while staying true to her grassroots approach.
In 2017, Luisa co-founded Ask A Freak, a party series centered on House music and community care, which later evolved into a podcast on Charivari Detroit Radio. The following year, she launched Beanalog, a hands-on education initiative that empowers people to learn music gear, run sound, and create — without gatekeeping. Beanalog has held sessions everywhere from libraries and cafés to studios across El Paso.
Luisa is also the podcast manager for female:pressure, an international network advocating for women, trans, and non-binary artists in electronic music and digital art. Through her work with the collective, she uplifts marginalized voices and champions inclusivity in the scene.
Whether spinning at a middle school dance or curating a radio feature, Luisa brings the same purpose: to share sound, spark joy, and build community. For her, music is more than entertainment — it’s power, resistance, and belonging. We are truly excited to have her back playing some tunes with us today!

For over two decades, he has been a driving force in the industry, leading his E75 crew with passion and commitment.
In 2015, he released the highly acclaimed "Octagon EP" on Bass Agenda Recordings, which received support from countless industry heavyweights. This release solidified his reputation as one of the true Knights Of The Round Table of music, and gained him notoriety around the world.
His journey into music production began in the mid '90s, where he found inspiration in Acid,Techno, and House music. With early success on his country's national charts with his track "San," he's continued to be one of the heavy supporters of the then-nascent "3rd wave" of Electro Bass and Funk Music.

Hailing from Portugal, he'd grown to global reach running his imprint "Techno Vibes" on CUEBASE-FM for years respectively.
