Originally from the lovely Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Toya's also an an OB/GYN practicing in Northern California and the founder and CEO of Buy Default, an online platform that helps uplift the Black community by creating a space where black businesses can get the exposure they need to thrive.

We chat about what Black Joy means and why it needs to be embraced and celebrated and we also share a bit about our own experiences with racism and even our own individual insecurities.
