It was so much easier when they were little. Now they're teens and the stakes are higher. Join me for skills that work and new perspectives to help you *bring out the best in your teen* (rather than trying to prevent the worst). With communication skills, relationship-building, boundaries and self-care, you can turn it around, and you don't have to do it alone. We’re in this together, because it takes a village to raise parents, too. http://www.fernweis.com Disclaimer: Life coaching is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or addiction recovery help.

#19 - Best way to praise your child.

Our praise often falls flat because we are the parents and

1. we offer it to make our child feel better OR
2. our child is a black and white thinker. They think something is 100% true or not true at all.

This episode goes into more depth about this this and what kind of praise works best.

Listen to the end for a free tool that makes effective praise easier to do. fern@fernweis.com
Thanks for listening.
