Stanly discovered he was a hepatitis B carrier during a health check-up at his technical school, but didn't pay much attention to it at the time. Before his military service, his medical examination showed abnormal liver indices, but since he had no symptoms, he still didn't take it seriously. It wasn't until he started working and a company health check revealed a rapid increase in liver inflammation indices, along with loss of appetite and jaundice. After a few weeks in the hospital, he returned to normal. Over the next ten years, his liver continued to have mild inflammation and he was diagnosed with cirrhosis, with shadows appearing in his liver ultrasound images.
