Marie Powell is an award winning author with more than 40 traditionally published children’s books. Among other degrees, she holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her award-winning short stories and poetry have been published in literary magazines. Castle-hopping across North Wales to explore her family roots inspired the YA Fantasy series Last of the Gifted. The series includes the books Spirit Sight (Book 1) and Water Sight (Book 2).
