The event is to mark the end of the three-year Impact of Social Sciences project based at the London School of Economics that has been funded by HEFCE. Working with colleagues at Imperial College London and the University of Leeds, we have looked at the nature and measurement of impact of academic research in the social sciences on government and policymaking, business and industry, and civil society. The conference will draw the research project to a close, discuss the results and outcomes of the project and seek to look forward to how impact research and measurement might develop over the next ten year period looking beyond REF2014. 10.00 – 11.30 Session 1: The Economic Impact of Academic Research.
