This author interview with children’s book writer and illustrator Donna Carr-Roberts was so delightful as we had another episode on our writers on their writing process series. . Donna is an award-winning portrait artist with a remarkable passion for animals and a deep love for art, which she beautifully shares with children everywhere.

Donna's book brings to life the real-life adventures of her four beloved dogs—Izzy, Scamp, Teddy, and Sofie. Her whimsical and vibrant storytelling is inspired by her own childhood, influenced by her mother's youthful spirit and imaginative tales. Donna's philosophy, "I have to grow old, but I don't have to grow up," resonates in her work, infusing it with a sense of fun and wonder.
