I often read to The Child Person at bedtime, and I recently decided to causally record these while I read them, to share with The Internet People.
I generally read a couple of chapters at bedtime, but I'm recording them one chapter at a time, to make sharing them a lot simpler. I'm not spending a lot of time doing these, but I hope you enjoy them, anyway.
The reading style I use here is a deliberate, narrative one, as opposed to an interpretive one. I might do some interpretive readings down the road, since I love it so much.

This book was the basis for the popular television show by the same name.
There are themes in the book that describe attitudes that would be considered backward and racist today. It is not the intention to either highlight or censor these, but to let them stand as they are in the book, as a record of historical interest.
