Aural Mess Episode 27 with guest Jim Berkenstadt

Jim Berkenstadt, also known as the Rock and Roll Detective, shares his journey from being a trial attorney to becoming an author and researcher of rock and roll history. He has written books on various rock artists, including The Beatles, and has worked as a historical consultant for George Harrison's estate and for projects like the HBO film 'Living in the Material World' and the Beatles' 'Get Back' movie. He discusses his experiences working with George Harrison and the process of uncovering and preserving unreleased music. He also talks about his book 'The Beatle Who Vanished' and the story of drummer Jimmie Nicol, who briefly replaced Ringo Starr during a Beatles tour. Jim also talks about his work with other artists, including Garbage and Jim Keltner, and teases his next mystery project.
