I'm Audrey Hall and this is the place where I meet and
talk to -you guessed it - Undisputed Music Legends – these are the
musicians, singers, the artists you’ve grown up with, the people behind
the soundtrack to your life - about who they are, and where they are
going, with highlights of their music career - and most importantly, giving
props to people instrumental in the evolution of their music ~ now!
TODAY - while they are still with us! In short – it’s a celebration.
And with all the known benefits music has to our wellbeing, what I call
#MusicMedicinefortheSoul, this podcast gives me a chance to explore -
what has made our guests Undisputed Music Legends: where they fitted
in (and where they DIDN’T fit in!) back in the day; ~ and where their
music takes them today ~ amidst the technological revolution in music
production ~ and tomorrow ~ as we discover those tunes that’ll be
getting our toes tapping next week, next month or next year ...
It's all about how music makes us feel ~ and ~ you can't afford to miss a
beat! So subscribe to this monthly podcast and join me Audrey Hall as I
meet the Undisputed Music Legends and share with you their secrets to
musical longevity!

@GaryWashington @TheUrbancellist is on tour with his musical extravaganza, @The Story of A People Called Black. I spoke to Gary before the premiere, exploring Gary's story - the story of the people of the African diaspora - from #enslavement, to the #Cottonfields in the #DeepSouth, to Manchester aka #Cottonopolis - aligned to the legacy of Windrush, the Black reality today, 75 years on from the landing of MV Windrush in 1948.
On identity and belonging, adopted Mancunian Gary finds the approach to DEI, 3 years post George Floyd RIP, like a band-aid. Calling for #unity he says, "we need to support each other better, and that needs to start with ourselves."
NB: This interview was recorded in June, just before the Premiere of The Story of A People Called Black @Niamos
...and #HugeProps to Paul for #The Groove 'INNAPEACE', Hakim Jamal © Paul Ashley Wheatcroft.
