Interview about "Domoff" - A Physical Performance for Deaf People
The performance "Domoff" consists of three war stories told by Ukrainians. One story is about deaf Ukrainians and their perspective at the beginning of the war, their trip to Brno, and their daily struggles in a foreign country. The second story is about a Ukrainian woman who has been living in Czechia for a few years. When the war began, she decided to help by becoming an anti-war activist in Brno. The third story is a love story about Ukrainian students who emigrated to Brno after the war began. Due to the nature of the performance (it was physical theatre for deaf people), no words were used in it.
The interview was conducted by Anna Debouis, a theater production student from the Netherlands. She interviewed three actors from the performance: Alba Lopez, a student of Drama Acting from Spain; Ziedonis Redmanis, a student of Film Post-Production from Latvia; and Paweł Nowak, a Film Production and Acting student from Poland. She also interviewed a representative of the audience, Martin Manko, a Slovakian physical acting student from JAMU.
