A critical reflection of digital developments and a get together of some of the brightest minds on the continent by REPUBLICA in partnership with the IMPACT HUB Accra in a two part series. Martin Peeves bio: My work across various mediums from traditional art to new-media art forms and fashion is heavily steeped in theories of the everyday mundane, post-modernism, do-it-yourself aesthetics & notions of outsider (art) practices. This sense of approach enables an inclusivity aspect in my creative process enabling me to incorporate and utilise my surroundings in my work. Some common themes of my work include, pop and internet cultural iconography, parody, personalisation of branding, advertising narratives and play on characterizations through performative acts and social media platforms.
