Secure Attachment: Interview with Jeffrey Olrick, PhD
Jeffrey Olrick, Ph.D. is a psychologist who completed a two-year Fellowship at the Mary Ainsworth Child-Parent Attachment Clinic and has been working with children and families for over twenty years. Jeffrey explains what secure attachment looks like between children and their parents and then discusses what this looks like with God and how we see it in scripture.
He and his wife Amy Olrick will release their book The Six Needs of Every Child in June, which you can pre-order now. I've read it and it is a treasure for parents who want to understand how to connect with their kids. The Olricks also run the site https://www.growingconnected.com full of lots of resources.
We've been talking about Ainsworth's strange situation for a few episodes now. Here's a great little video about it.
