Fasiri played college basketball at four different colleges before finishing up at Southeastern Oklahoma St. Fasiri grew up in the church and knew about God but early success in sports made him somewhat prideful. He ended up getting arrested but a friend took the fall and Fasiri was released. He knew God had a purpose and plan for him and he did not want to disappoint the Lord.
