Nicole is joined by former hair stylist, former client and friend, Renée Boudreau. Renée is the Founder & CEO of Wisp Collective, and is a 2021 YWCA Women of Distinction Nominee in the Pandemic Innovator category.
They discuss how incredibly tough 2020 was in so many ways, for individuals and small businesses alike and how Renée accepted the challenge for what it was and worked pivot as a non-essential service provider of human connection. She felt it absolutely necessary to find a way to continue to be of service during the challenging times of Covid. She and her staff hosted virtual fundraisers with a braid bar, provided root-retouch kits, launched their online shop, and continue to offer exciting virtual experiences while also launching a leadership training and a mastermind to be of service for salon owners and independent artists.
No matter what project she is working on she is striving to “raise the brush” one salon at a time through education and leadership.
