
This week we discuss the stunning wonder that is FX and Hulu original, Shogun. This mega hit series is a historical fiction drama, based on a book of the same name and follows an English sailor, John Blackthorne as he crash lands himself in a deadly game of thrones where members of Japan’s royal council seek the ultimate position as leader and plot specifically to end the influence of the strongest amongst them, Lord Toranaga aka, Shogun. We discuss our favorite scenes, the themes of loyalty even unto death, service, and our favourite characters. There’s simply is not enough time to cover this delight but we try.
