Gabriel Mintzer is a current PhD student in applied physics at Stanford University. While studying for his master’s degree at MIT in November 2021, he was struck by a truck while walking home. He was subsequently hospitalized and spent over half a year in rehab doing both inpatient and outpatient therapy. Tune in as medical student Brian Gu interviews Gabe about his perspectives on his long recovery process, the help he received from the rehab team along the way, and the life lessons he learned from the experience.
