What responsibility do builders have in making sure pool drain covers have been replaced since they installed them? Technical Director, Dewey Case, from the Council for the Model Aquatic Health Code (CMAHC) provides tips on when you should replace your pool drain covers and how to manage documentation and replacements moving forward. Many covers have most likely not been replaced since installation after the VGB act was implemented. Make sure homeowners are protected and you are not putting yourself in a liability position by being proactive with your communication to them or the service company who services them.
