EPISODE BIBLE REFERENCES

1. Salvation Is Personal, But It’s Not Private.

Salvation is indeed a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. You become a child of God by grace through faith, not by external appearances. However, salvation is also for public witness. We are ambassadors of Christ, and our lives—including how we speak, act, and yes, even dress—should reflect His glory.

  • Ephesians 2:8 (NIV) - “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.”
  • Matthew 5:14 (ESV) - “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

2. We Are Called to Honor God With Our Bodies.

Our bodies are not just biological; they are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are commanded to glorify God with them. This includes our clothing. What we wear is part of how we present our bodies in devotion and reverence to God.

  • 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 (NIV) - “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

3. We Are Royal Priests—Our Dressing Is an Act of Consecration.

As children of God, we are not ordinary. We are part of a royal priesthood, consecrated to serve and worship God.

  • 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV) - “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

In the Old Testament, priests had a specific way they were to dress, not for fashion but for consecration. Their garments reflected their function, honor, and devotion.

  • Exodus 28:2 (NIV) - “Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor.”

4. Doing What We Like Is Not the Same as Doing What God Desires.

Culture often teaches us to “be ourselves” and “do what we like,” but the Bible teaches us to deny ourselves and follow Jesus. The question is not, “Do I like this?” but “Does this honor God?”

  • Matthew 16:24 (NIV) - “Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.’”

5. Not All Things Are Sinful—But Not All Things Are Expedient.

It’s true—wearing male-styled clothing as a woman is not automatically sin. But maturity in Christ calls us to evaluate not just what is allowed, but what is beneficial and edifying. Ask: Does my dressing build up others? Does it honor Christ? Does it reflect my royal calling?

  • 1 Corinthians 10:23 (NIV) - “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive.”

6. We Dress From Our Identity, Not Just Personal Preference.

Dressing should not be an act of rebellion or personal indulgence, but an act of worship, rooted in dignity, modesty, honor, and spiritual purpose.

  • 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) – “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

-----

My Prayer is that you have a genuine encounter Jesus Christ and become His expression to your world.
