For a lot of queer Asian people, it can sometimes be very hard to find a place where they are embraced for who they are. This can even be the case in some Asian families, where they may believe that being queer is a direct result of Western influence. In Asia, there are many laws that discriminate against same-sex relationships. But was it always this way? Is being LGBTQ+ only a part of Western culture?
