On the 6th January 1979, the peace and quiet of Block 58 in Geylang Bahru was shattered as parents Lee Mei Ying and Tan Kuen Chai discovered a most awful scene in their apartment.
This case would become one of the most compelling criminal cases in Singapore, a country that in the late 70s was still trying to establish itself after obtaining independence a decade earlier. To this very day, the Geylang Bahru Murders remain one of the longest running cold cases of the country.
