The Giving Ghosts project is a collaborative, charitable effort, a dream team of creative people, passionate about making a difference in their communities. We assemble our talents at least annually to raise money and/or awareness for charitable causes. Last year we put on a virtual music festival in benefit of anti-trafficking organization Operation Underground Railroad.
This year we have created a full-length album in support of the same cause, to be released on Thanksgiving Day. We invite all listeners to take the "signs of trafficking" training offered by Operation Underground Railroad and donate on the fundraising page to help fund a rescue operation.
As the release date for the album draws nearer, I have interviewed several of the contributing artists. Natalie Dixon is a particularly visionary singer/musician I worked with last year on several songs for the album and a collaborator on our lead single, "The Greatest." Natalie is from Bluffton, South Carolina and is currently a theater major at Southern Virginia University. Here are some highlights from our conversation.
