Ep. #2: Thieves & Stewards

Welcome back, lovelies!

This week we're taking the plunge into the history surrounding the large scale looting initiated by the Nazi's during World War II—aka my research! We cover "degenerate art", the various ways museum officials and cultural institutions alike attempted to save their works during occupation, conversations surrounding the link between cultural property and cultural identity, and more! This episode is part 1 of this series examining WWII art theft and the ripple effects we've seen in the wake of its aftermath. Tune in next week to listen to me talk about specific case studies and instances of looted art covered in this episode!

I hope you enjoy learning through this weeks episode and if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message through our IG page!
