Your first look inside the walls of unexpected art enthusiasts. We're all born artists. Give any five your old pencils and paper and they’ll create something wonderful. But when we grow up, art becomes intimidating. We’re conditioned to second guess our taste in art. The pure joy of art a kid feels can get squashed. We want to change that. Ed & George Hartley Take a Step Back and Reflect on the First 13 Years of Bluethumb

Hi all! George from Bluethumb here with some big news. After 13 years building Bluethumb with my brother Ed and an extraordinary team, it’s time for us to step back and transition out of our roles as co-CEOs. We're excited to pass on the leadership baton and can't wait to see what Bluethumb achieves next.

We built Bluethumb as a technology company that serves artists, and that idea still sits at the centre of everything.

🧑‍🎨 To our artists: you turned blank surfaces into stories, and for hundreds of you into full time careers. Thank you for trusting us with your work.

🖼️ To our collectors: you backed independent creativity and made your homes more personal.

💙 To the Bluethumb team: you shipped, listened, iterated and cared every single day. And to Ed, building this together has been a blast. My sincere apologies to every team member who’s had to listen to our regular fraternal bickering.

Before we go, we wanted to share a few reflections and a very big thank you.
