The Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory, are cold, dreary, and without much natural life (there's no forests for example). Despite this, over 3,700 people have opted to make their home and life here. And from everything we can gather, those 3,700 people are pretty happy! So if it's such an inhospitable place to live for climate, then why does anyone want to live there in the first place. And more to that point, why can't anyone move in, even if they're British citizens?
In this video, we'll cover the unique and barren physical geography of the Falklands, the unique colonial history of between France, Britain, Spain and Argentina, and why so many people (relatively) have chosen to make their life in the Falklands (and why even other British citizens can't).
