Alex is a writer, executive coach, practitioner of somatic psychotherapy, and entrepreneur. He's the co-founder of Natura Care, a non-profit addiction program harnessing psychedelics. I’m also the founder of Sons of Now, a men’s group for the metamodern man.
I came across his work when I was invited to be a part of the men's group that he runs, and we did a call together to see if we vibed. Okay, so in this episode, Lubo and I delved deep into the heart of his newest film, Kingdom. We explored the symbolism and meaning behind the imagery of the black dust that clouds people's heads and hearts. We discussed the importance of taking responsibility for our own emotions, thoughts, and actions, and how this process of self-awareness and self-responsibility can lead to empowerment and liberation. We touched on the concept of courage and the courage it takes to face our inner critics and integrate all parts of ourselves. We also talked about the idea of sorcery in society, how shared narratives and institutions can act as spells that we either choose to believe in or not.
